I am thrilled to announce that I have graduated with a Bachelor's degree in International Social Science. These past three years have been a remarkable and transformative journey of growth, learning, and discovery🎓Sihaam Ali and I successfully defended our bachelor thesis! This project, to which we have dedicated months of hard work, examines the war in Sudan and its profound impact on women. It highlights the dual role they play as both silent heroes and victims. Our hearts go out to the Sudanese women who continue to fight for their rights, and this paper is dedicated to them! I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my friends, family, and professors for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout this journey. Your guidance and belief in me have been invaluable. Here's to new beginnings and exciting opportunities ahead!

Delighted to unveil my research paper, "Fostering Global Citizenship Education to Prevent Future Genocide and Colonization: A Comprehensive Analysis," presented at the National Conference themed 'Happiness and Sustainability around the Globe: Implications for SDGs,' hosted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Dwarka, New Delhi. Immense gratitude to my dedicated supervisor, DR POOJA SABHARWAL, whose unwavering support made this endeavor a reality.I take pride in shedding light on the somber history of Rwanda, commemorating the 1994 genocide against Tutsis over 100 days of mourning. Connecting this narrative with the Scramble and Partition of Africa, I explored how European colonizers employed negative psychology and divisive strategies such as the "Divide and Rule" tactic, notably the Hamitic Myth, to subjugate and colonize Africans. This exploration extends to the realm of globalization, aligning with the G20 theme, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," emphasizing our interconnectedness as a global family. My mission is rooted in contributing to the betterment of the world, fostering unity within the global community.A special acknowledgment goes to my mentor and anatomy professor,DR POOJA SABHARWAL, whose guidance has been instrumental in shaping this research. I am committed to realizing my vision with a profound sense of purpose. Together, let's strive for a world where knowledge bridges gaps, fostering a harmonious global society. #Research #GlobalCitizenship #SDGs #EducationForChange #LinkedInPost

The state of Pakistan has had a long and arduous developmental trajectory since independence in 1947. Informed observers argue that the society appears to be stuck in a time loop that is resistant to change required to prosper. The aim of this annual conference is to bring together leading local and international scholars, thinkers, influencers, and pundits to tackle this argument from a broad social, economic, and political perspective. It is being organized by the College of Economics and Social Development (CESD) which is a well-established school at IoBM. The CESD invites research papers, surveys, case studies, academic articles and other forms of research output on themes that include, but not limited to the following

During my time in university, I recall an encounter with one of my professors who asked me a question that left me taken aback. He asked, "Mika, do you know what the big issue is with Africans?".Eager to learn more, I replied, "Please enlighten me, Professor." He went on to say that while most African students in his classes were very intelligent and talented, they often lacked discipline. As someone who always maintained high standards and worked diligently, I was deeply offended by this remark.I couldn't help but wonder why discipline was being used as a blanket statement for all African students, as it is a character trait that anyone from any race can possess. This interaction opened my eyes to how we, as Africans, are perceived by others.Of course, there are some misbehaving Africans, but that's not the whole story. We also have many well-behaved and disciplined Africans who are making a positive difference in the world. This encounter with my professor inspired me to change the narrative and showcase the disciplined side of African culture. Now, years later, I am proud to say that in Rwanda, discipline is more than just a buzzword - it's a way of life. We don't just talk about discipline here; we live and breathe it every moment. Dear Professor, if you're watching this video today, I hope that you can see how discipline is ingrained in our culture and values.Learn more about Rwandahttps://lnkd.in/eYz9tYCC

Excited to share that our research paper titled 'Interlacing Affect, Learning, and Sociocultural Activity in Lebanese Multilingual Science Classrooms: Experiences of Syrian Refugee Youths and Families' was presented at the 55th Annual Conference of the Australasian Science Education Research Association (ASERA) in New Zealand. As the second author on this publication, I contributed to the study design, data collection, and analysis, working alongside first author and presenter Dr. Sara Salloum, third author Dr. Saouma Boujaoude, and fourth author Dr. Danielle Dani. This research explored the experiences of Syrian refugee students and families in multilingual science classrooms in Lebanon - an important topic as educators work to support displaced youth. I'm grateful to have been part of this impactful study.#AcademicResearch #ScienceEducation #RefugeeEducation"
