Virgin River enthusiasts believe they've worked out the demise of a key romance in the upcoming seventh season.
Netflix's beloved drama Virgin River returned with its thrilling sixth season last year, featuring a breathtaking wedding between mainstays Mel Monroe (portrayed by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson), which, true to form, wasn't short of drama.

While Mel reunited with her birth father, Everett Reid (played by John Allen Nelson), Jack's sister Brie (Zibby Allen) was embroiled in a sticky love triangle with her troubled ex Dan Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth) and her new flame Detective Mike Valenzuela (Marco Grazzini).
Brie dumped Brady over his deceit regarding his criminal past and warmed up to Mike, meanwhile, Brady found solace in a new dalliance with town local Lark (Elise Gatien).
Complications arose when Brady found out about Lark's covert con with Jimmy (Ian Tracey), and during Mel and Jack's nuptials, Mike went ahead and proposed to Brie, reports the Mirror US.

Adding to the web of intrigue, fans know that Brie had a steamy tryst with Brady while both were ensnared in their own relationships, sparking fan theories of a resurgent affair in the next instalment.
Avid watchers have since identified a major hint suggesting an impending split between Mike and Brie, thanks to a newcomer joining the cast for season seven.
In a recent Reddit discussion, one eagle-eyed fan surmised: "Brady will ask for Brie and Mike's help to go after Lark.
"The lawyer going after Doc (Tim Matheson) and Mike will get close (from what I've read they knew each other from the past and she is a love interest).
"Mike sees how Brady and Brie interact constantly and realise he always comes second so breaks it off with her (who may initially say yes to the proposal)."
While fans are nearly convinced that Brie will at first accept Mike's marriage proposal, the emergence of Victoria (Sara Canning), a state medical board investigator, might just cause monumental complications.

Character specifics for Victoria introduced in March declare: "Sara Canning joins the cast as ex-cop Victoria, who was shot in the line of duty and now works for the state medical board as an investigator.
"Victoria comes to Virgin River to look into Doc's practice but runs into a friend she wouldn't mind catching up with ... or maybe even pursuing something more."
Circumstances remain shrouded in secrecy, but speculation suggests the 'friend' talked about could be none other than cop Mike, due to their prior professional relationship before Victoria's career-altering event.
